Join the Imperial fleet with the TIE Fighter™ from the officially licensed Star Wars™ collection by UGEARS. Instantly recognisable by its spherical cockpit and distinctive hexagonal wings, the Twin Ion Engine starfighter is one of the Galactic Empire’s most iconic spacecraft. Agile, intimidating and built for combat, the TIE Fighter™ has become a legendary presence in battles across the galaxy.
This detailed DIY model combines a colourised plywood spacecraft with a motorised display stand inspired by the surface of the Death Star. The fighter attaches magnetically to the stand, allowing you to connect or detach it with ease. Once activated, a concealed battery-powered motor moves the spacecraft from side to side, recreating the evasive flight manoeuvres of an Imperial fighter.
The stand features two laser cannon towers that also move from side to side, simulating sweeping firing lines against incoming Rebel starfighters. Meanwhile, the cockpit’s top hatch opens to reveal interior details, adding another layer of realism to the model.
Designed for both building and display, the TIE Fighter™ combines carefully crafted plywood elements with cardboard details in the wings to recreate the spacecraft’s unmistakable silhouette. Its motorised movement brings the model to life, making it an eye-catching centrepiece for any Star Wars™ collection.
Power the model using three AA batteries or a USB Type-C connection. Please note that batteries, a power bank and a USB Type-C cable are not included.
