A Working Mechanical Train
The Hogwarts™ Express features a spring-powered locomotive with moving gears, wheels and connecting rods. Wind it up using the special key, turn the smokestack switch to Start, and watch your train set off across a smooth, flat surface. The train can travel up to 4 metres with its tender and passenger carriage attached, or up to 6 metres with the locomotive on its own.
The complete set includes three separate elements: the locomotive, a coal tender and a passenger carriage. The tender features a storage compartment for the winding key or other small items, while the passenger carriage has three compartments, three opening doors and a removable roof.
Inside the carriage, three figurines of Harry Potter, Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley can be placed on special mounts that move from side to side as the train travels, bringing even more life to this charming mechanical creation.
Build, Display and Make It Your Own
The Hogwarts™ Express is more than a working model. The kit also includes a section of track and a Platform 9¾ buffer stop, making it a striking display piece once assembled.
Leave the model in its natural wooden finish, paint it in the familiar colours of the Hogwarts™ Express from the films, or create your own unique design. Paint is not included, giving you the freedom to personalise your finished train.
